During snow operations, the AGB uses communication guidelines while on air to ensure clear delivery of message and coordination between team members.  All members must be proficent with these radio standards and demonstrate the ability to use them. Digital video equipment is very expensive and will not be operated by anyone unable to maintain high standards of on air communication.

The Phonetic Language.  This used on the air to provide a word with a letter.  For example, A is for Alpha.  Each letter has a cooresponding word that is standard for on air communication.  Note the word for Q.  They are as follows:

More than likely, on AGB ops, you won't need to know any but the first five.  Get familiar with all of them.
